How Long Does Industrial Resin Flooring Take to Install?
Installation time depends on floor size, preparation, repairs, system type, temperature and curing requirements. Fast-track systems may return areas to service quickly, while heavier polyurethane or multi-layer epoxy systems can require additional time. Planning around shutdown windows is therefore essential.
Build the programme around the actual condition of the floor and the selected system. Include clearance of the work area, preparation, repairs, priming, application and curing. The time between coats may differ from the time required before pedestrian traffic, vehicles, cleaning or chemical exposure is allowed.
Temperature, humidity, substrate moisture and unexpected repairs can affect the schedule. Ask for a written programme with clear handover conditions and discuss phased working if the facility must remain operational. Do not base reopening solely on whether a surface feels dry. Confirm the manufacturer's return-to-service guidance for the intended use and protect the completed floor while it cures.
